VW Polo engine won't start - mystery! Posted by: mrsven
Video duration: 56 seconds My Polo won't start...I turn the ignition, it revs for a second, and then drops off, no matter how much I rev the gas. Sometimes it starts first time, sometimes it takes 20 attempts. I've cleaned out the throttle body as advised and changed the spark plugs. Has anyone had this problem or know what it might be? Erratic idle revs on Polo 6n 1.6 Posted by: mrsven
Video duration: 33 seconds After disconnecting the battery of my Mk 4 Polo I restarted the car but now have this problem with erratic idle and too high revs. I have also cleaned out the throttle body. I think that perhaps the TB needs to be reset by computer but does anyone else have any suggestions before I go and spend £££ having that done by a VW specialist?
